Sedona with kids in April

Hi,

Traveling to Arizona in April and planning on spending 3 nights in Sedona. There are 5 of us (3 kids ages 7-14). First question is I%26#39;ve been looking for a hotel w/ pool so kids can swim at the end of the day -- is it warm enough to do that the end of April?

Also I would like to stay someplace very nice, good location with good views, pool and not too far from downtown Sedona. It%26#39;s hard to tell the location of alot of the hotels. Am considering Adobe Grand, Amara, Las Posadas and Sedona Lodge. Also L%26#39;Auberge looks lovely but it doesn%26#39;t look like it has a pool.

Any info or suggestions on these hotels? Or other suggestions?

I know I%26#39;m asking a lot but the cost of taking five people to Arizona for a week makes me want to get it right.

Thanks.

Days Inn is nice and has a pool and not that expensive. Also they don';t have washing machines to do laundry

The weather will likely be nice springtime temps in the 70%26#39;s at the end of April. Likely.....but I can%26#39;t guarantee it :-)

I guess that may be warm enough for some people to go in a pool, but not me.

Since I live in Sedona, I%26#39;ve never stayed at any hotel. But you might also try Best Western Arroyo Roble in Uptown. Read the reviews of hotels from other people on this forum. You%26#39;ll find hotels listed over to the left.

We were in Sedona for 3 nights last spring (2 kids ages 8 %26amp;10) On our drive from Phoenix we visited Tuzigoot National Monument. We spent about 1 1/2 to 2 hours there. The next day we drove from Sedona to Williams and did the Grand Canyon Railway for the day and the third day we did the Broken Arrow Jeep tour and walked around the town of Sedona and had dinner at the Cowboy Club.

We stayed at a time share Sedona Summit and it was perfect for us. It did have a small pool and the kids did swim before doing the Jeep Tour.

We did use one of their hot tubs each night which was awesome. We all enjoyed this each evening.

It was a little chilly but the kids did swim the one day and we were busy the other days.

I would also look into the Sedona Summit. It was on the outskirts of town and very nice and reasonable. I was able to rent from someone on line.
