Hi,

Thank you for traveling to our beautiful part of the country, we appreciate your visiting.

There%26#39;s many route you can take from Monument Valley to Albuquerque. Some are more scenic than others.

If you want to travel mostly on freeways, then you will want to take hwy #163 south to Kayenta, AZ then Hwy #160 east to Hwy 59 - South on Hwy #59 to Hwy #191 at Many Farms, then South on Hwy #191 to Interstate 40, then West on I-40 to Albuquerque.

If you want a more scenic route from Monument Valley, take Hwy #163 north to Hwy #191 - just outside of Bluff, UT. South on Hwy #191 to Hwy #160 at Mexican Water, then East on Hwy #160 to Teec Nos Pos, then Hwy #64 from Teec Nos Pos East to just east of Farmington, NM and turn South on Hwy #550 which will take you through some beautiful parts of rural New Mexico to Bernalillo, NM. Here you will pickup Interstate #15 and take it south to Albuquerque.

The first route is 390 miles and the second route is 335 miles. The choice is yours, however, I would take the scenic route even though it is all two lane roads. Enjoy your trip.

If you take the first route mentioned, you can see Canyon de Chelly Nat Mon, Hubbell Trading Post in Ganado, Gallup NM, Zuni Pueblo, El Morro National Monument, El Malpais Nat Mon, Acoma Pueblo on your way. All interesting stops.

The 2nd route will not have as many national monuments and places to stop but include a view of Shiprock, Farmington (nice museum and shops), Aztec Ruin Nat Mon, Chaco Canyon Nat Historic Park, Coronado State Park in Bernalillo.

Enjoy your trip.
