Havasu for Spring Break - Many Better Areas

If you want to have a good time partying, Lake Havasu%26#39;s not what it used to be for spring breakers. As the prior blogger said, they%26#39;ve cracked way down on spring breakers, skimpy swimsuits, and loud music - and the city runs an iron fist over that now, so many breakers don%26#39;t go there anymore. The blue hairs that live there in the winter don%26#39;t want young people coming there and making noise.

If you like a quiet time, enjoy non-party boating, and maybe just want to camp in the desert, or just hang out in a hotel - it%26#39;s ok for that.

But unless you have or rent a boat, there%26#39;s nothing else much to do there. The weather%26#39;s not particularly warm in March/April - 60%26#39;s and 30%26#39;s/40%26#39;s at night - so bring your warmies for camping out.

For more lively enjoyment, go up to the other lakes north, or Laughlin or Bullhead City - or Vegas. Vegas never shuts down - and you can take a day trip to Red Rock park - it%26#39;s awesome.

Havasu for Spring Break - Many Better Areas

Dudesdad ... what ';northern lakes'; would you reccomend for spring break.

Lake Shasta is only big on memorial day as far as i know

Havasu is a wasteland of thugs, thugs with badges, rude and nasty residents, and a whole lotta nothing but run down buildings.

I imagine it was nice at one time but Laughlin and Parker strip are far better now in all areas. If you must go to lake havasu put your boat in at the little boat ramp just off I-40 on the border. It leads to topock gorge and the sand bar.

That%26#39;s an interesting first time post on an ancient thread...

this man could not be more wrong about the ';thugs with badges'; part. While the police has weekends and times where they have zero tolerance if you are drinking and being stupid

(ill cite the case of memorial day weekend 2006 when a guy was on a jet ski and was so drunk in the channel that he couldnt turn it and rolled it)

but if you arent doing much wrong they are ok. Spring break 2004 they were doing construction on the highway and i was going 50 in the 35 and i got a warning.

Say what you want about me, I have witnessed how bad the thugs are in Havasu, there is plenty of coverage in the local paper about how bad the cops are here.

Just read the discussion board or just surf the net to see how bad they are.

I think Havasu is a great place, council%26#39;s come and go and someday we will get a council that wants to have a police force that are not associated with thugs.

Desertrat you are contradicting yourself. In your first post you bash the whole town. In the second post you say its a nice place. Which one is it??? Great first post ??? (not) and welcome to the forum. LOL

Personally, I%26#39;m moving to Lake Havasu this week for a while and I can%26#39;t wait. Might not be as exited when summer comes around, but i can always head out for Costa Rica. in mine past experience, the police will leave you alone if you are not been unsafe, they will give you a long leash, but if you crossed the line on land or water, watch out!

Ok kids, find a place where you can drink enough to get arrested by the ';thugs'; throw up and expose your cute lil selves. The rest of us ';blue hairs'; will be enjoying ourselves, our insurance, homeownership and the lovely area of havasu, spring break, you are kidding right?
