Hello,my husband and I are travelling to WINSLOW (May 2009), please can anyone recommend a cheap B%26amp;B ($85 (拢60) or less per room, per night). Requirements: clean/comfy/private bathroom and parking for one car. THANKYOU :-)
Bed %26amp; Breakfast in WinslowB%26amp;Bs in the U.S. tend to be priced at $100 or more (most often more). Suggest you look at motel/hotel chains that include a breakfast -- Super 8, Days Inn,
Quality Inn, Travelodge, La Quinta. All have private baths and usually free parking.
Bed %26amp; Breakfast in WinslowWhy Winslow? In any case, in Winslow is La Posada Hotel which is the restored hotel built by the Santa Fe Railroad in the late 1920%26#39;s to house travelers.
Besides that and the corner of ';standing on the corner in Winslow Arizona'; of the Eagles%26#39; hit ';Take It Easy,'; there%26#39;s nothing there.
The standard rooms at La Posada are a little more than your price range and, of course, do not include breakfast. However, having just returned from a two night stay there, I%26#39;d very highly recommend it. If you have any interest in historic hotels, southwestern architecture, route 66 or american railroad history it is not to be missed. I%26#39;m sure you have a reason for staying in Winslow (as we did, although our reason was mostly La Posada!), but I doubt there are any B %26amp; Bs there. La Posada is certainly the best option and well worth spending a few dollars more than a mundane motel!
I agree that out of all of the requests that you have posted, the La Posada hotel in Winslow is perhaps the most charming place to visit and worthy of your time and investment. Your budget requirement will be hard to fit as B%26amp;B is the USA tend to be priced much higher than $85 per night.
You might be able to find some roadside motels in that price range, but they will be marginal and aside from a %26#39;fix your own breakfast buffet%26#39; in Comfort Inns or similar motels, you%26#39;ll be on your own for breakfasts.
