Hi,
We are staying in Sedona for two days in a early April.
We are both keen photographers and are taking our main gear with us so any locations for a shoot would be fab.
Basically we just want to drive round see some sites, take some pics. Maybe catch a a sunrise/sunset or two.
We are not into sitting by a pool and reading etc we like to get out!
Again appreciate all your help.
Thanks in advance.

2 days in Sedona - What to do?
Practically every site in Sedona is worth a photo shoot! The beautiful scenery will be all around you as you drive around the town.
For great panorama views, go to Chapel of the Holy Cross, Airport Mesa, and along Upper Red Rock Loop Road, to name a few. Airport Mesa is popular for sunset.
Go to Red Rock Crossing for what is probably the most famously photographed site in Sedona (on TV ads, magazines, etc.)
Then, of course, most any hike will give you wonderful photo opportunities. As soon as you arrive, visit the Official Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center in Uptown Sedona. They%26#39;ll give you a hiking map and lots of information.
Enjoy your trip!

I couldn%26#39;t say it any better than Janss. The only point I can add is that your time is limited. For that perfect sunset photo, you need to pick your location and subject and be prepared, as the light will peak for about 5-10 minutes before the sun sets. The red rocks will seem to light up from within and then they will simply turn gray as it gets dark.
....I actually photograph for a living, aside from the obvious, Talaquepaqui is wonderful to photograph, at the end of the day is best, lots of interesting achitecture, old vines, I%26#39;ve done many beautiful portraits there in bxw and in color, will keep you busy!, Its located in the heart of Sedona.
