We will be spending 2 weeks in August in Flagstaff Arizona and wonder if it is possible, or practical, to drive to New Mexico. Can anyone give us advice for whice we are very grateful.

Very possible. I wouldn%26#39;t do it as a day trip, but you could easily take 3-4 days and do a short New Mexico side trip.

From Flagstaff, Arizona to Gallup, NM it is about a 2 and 1/2 hour drive depending on exact locations. Is that where you want to go? Anything further is going to require a night or two minimum stay over in a hotel.
