Fees for Upper and Lower Antelope Canyons

If I don%26#39;t take the guided tour, I read that I just drive myself to the parking lot, pay $6 per person and another $25 per person to get into upper canyon. When I go to lower canyon, do I have to pay another $31 per person?

Thanks.

You can%26#39;t go into the Upper Canyon without a guide. If you drive yourself then you will pick up a guide at the entrance.

It is $6p/p to enter the tribal park and $25p/p for the guide.

If you then go to Lower Canyon it will be another $25p/p to enter the canyon, but if you show the receipt from Upper that you have paid to enter the tribal park you don%26#39;t pay the $6 amount again. During busy times at Lower you will also have a guide there as well.

It is not a rip off. They are operated as completely different businesses, the gentleman who takes care of Lower Canyon must maintain the numerous ladders, some of which he told us are lost completely every time water runs through the canyon.

They are completely different experiences, we felt they were both worthwhile.
