I will be travelling to GCNP for the first time in the next few weeks with two other senior citizens. After reading the posts here, we%26#39;ve decided to stay within GCNP. We are deciding between Kachina (2 Queens w/view) or Bright Angel Rim Cabin (1 Queen bed w/fireplace + a rollaway bed). We are concerned the rollaway may hurt our back, but if Bright Angel is a better choice, we would take turns and put up with it. Any feedback or which is better Kachina or Bright Angel?

I would go with Kachina, nice rooms, view and real beds. I would not wish a rollaway bed on my worst enemy!!

We had a room at Kachina Lodge with a view. Best is second floor. Fine room with fridge and safe and very comfortable, nicely decorated and all. It looks like an old schoolbuilding but don%26#39;t let that stop you. It%26#39;s right next to El Tovar and you also have to check in at ET. Beds in Kachina are excellent.

Forgot to say: There%26#39;s no elevator at Kachina so maybe better stay at the ground floor. Easier with the luggage and also great views.
