Family fun in Vegas? Advice please

We will be staying off the strip for one night %26amp; day on our way to the grand canyon. Does anyone know of a couple of things to do with the kids while we are there? Maybe a good restaurant or some shooping that might be fun for them? Also any advice on things to do while visiting the grand canyon. Is bedrock city still around?

Maybe also put this question on the Las Vegas forum.

Yes, Bedrock City is still around in Valle. We stood in front of last novenber but didnot visit.

Also maybe visit the Imax theater in Tusayan and Seligman along I40. But the real attraction is GCNP of course.

There are tons of posts on the Vegas forum about stuff to do with kids. Just search the forum section or ask specific questions if you have any.

Here is a website that will give you lots of ideas:

Also, there is the Atomic Testing Museum, which is on our list of things to see in LV this spring:

Kids in Vegas..

There is a huge arcade on the strip, right next to the MGM Grand. Also nearby is a M%26amp;M candy store, Coca Cola store and a few other places.

Also in Excalibur is a fun arcade. Visit MGM Grand for the lions and Rainforest Cafe. Great shopping and fun to visit. Mandalay Bay has shark aquarium etc.

We had a great meal at Venetian at Mario Batali (food network) restaurant.

NYNY has a roller coaster and we rode the monorail between MGM and places further north.

The Las Vegas Hilton has a Star Trek area, and is on the monorail.

we have been to vegas 6 times with 2 boys aged 8 and 10 first time and 16 and 18 last time - they loved it every time

all the big hotels hace loads for kids to see and do

and beside mgm there is a great area with a huge climbing wall and an arcade with all the games under the sun ( ithink 10 - midnight was all you can play for 15 dollars or something similar)

just strolling from one hotel to another and taking in the different views is great try and fit in

Though you will headed to the Grand Canyon, I highly recommend Valley of Fire State Park, about one hour east of Las Vegas. You and your kids can climb on all the rocks, take some very easy hiking trails, visit the visitor center, then head over, via the south entrance, to Hoover Dam.

Stop by the Grand Canyon Caverns if you are going to the South Rim, is great with kids.
