It sounds like you won%26#39;t have a car, so your choices are very limited. But you should also note that Tucson is not particularly public transit-friendly, particularly for tourists, as most of our more popular tourist sites (Desert Museum, Sabino Canyon, Kartchner Caverns, etc.) are not accessible by public transit, but only by relatively expensive tours. So, you may want to think twice about not renting a car.

Look at the Hotel Congress Downtown (although this may be too funky for you, read the reviews), Sheraton Four Points, the La Quinta on Broadway and the Windmill Inn and Suites on Campbell. If you%26#39;re open to B%26amp;Bs, there%26#39;s also the Big Blue House on University, Presidio House and the Royal Elizabeth.

All should be in your price range and have bars and/or restaurants within walking distance. For tourist sites, there are buses from most, except for the Windmill, which requires a walk of about 1.5km to the bus stop, except for an express bus that only runs at rush hour.

No,colin i cant drive, which is causing a bit of hassle, which is why i need to be close to a bus route and reasonably central, cheers for the info, many thanks.Toon Army.

From your other posts, I am assuming you want a hotel in the budget class. One that should be reasonable and is located on and close to two major bus routes is the Randolph Park Hotel and Suites. It is a short walk of 2 blocks to Broadway Blvd., a major east-west bus route. And one can catch buses going north/south to other routes.

cheers bobbear43,yeah,bit hard when you cant drive,so best being close to local transport, will look into that hotel, cheers Toon Army.
