Last year we stayed at the Four Seasons. We loved it however we found there were quite a few kids, which seems to be the norm when we stay most Four Seasons. So this year we thought we%26#39;d try the Montelucia. It seems like it may have a more modern/hip feel to it without being a ';party'; hotel. It more convenient to restaurants and bars at other hotels like Sanctuary, Mondrian and W, which we like.
Does anyone know if my perceptions are accurate? Just hoping we%26#39;ll like it. We%26#39;re going in May for 4 nights.
Thanks!
Montelucia - comparable to Four Seasons?
I haven%26#39;t actually walked around the Montelucia yet, but from what I%26#39;ve read and seen, I believe that everything you%26#39;re thinking is correct. It%26#39;s upscale, with a slightly modern hip Scottsdale vibe but not a ';party'; hotel (like I found the Mondrian to be). It%26#39;s in a great location, close to the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. Have you also considered staying at Sanctuary? It%26#39;s equally luxurious and also quite modern/hip. Enjoy your trip!
Montelucia - comparable to Four Seasons?
I definitely considered the Sanctuary and would have chose it if it would have been cheaper. Both the Four Seasons and the Montelucia are offering rates at half of what the Sanctuary is charging so we felt the Sanctuary is overcharging and couldn%26#39;t justify stating there. Plus we%26#39;re guaranteed an upgrade at the Montelucia. I think we%26#39;re making the right choice. We%26#39;ll definitely pop over to the Sanctuary for dinner or drinks. We love their restaurant, Elements! Thanks for your comments.
I saw very few kids over the weekend...or shall I say less then the Four Seasons on a comparable weekend. It%26#39;s no party hotel for sure.
