We are just about to book the Camelback Inn for our stay in August but just wanted to know how close we are to restaurants that are outside the resort?

You are no more than a 5-10 minute drive to many, many wonderful restaurants of all kinds. Just drive east on Lincoln about 2 miles to Scottsdale Rd. Take a right (south) to get to downtown Scottsdale (2 miles) where most are concentrated. You can also go north about 1/2 mile to Roka Akor, Ruth%26#39;s Chris, Roy%26#39;s. Further north is Gainey Ranch area and Kierland Commons.

The closest to you would be El Chorro Lodge which is very good. http://elchorrolodge.com/

thank you ever so much aztchr. We have now booked the Camelback and are looking forward to a wonderful holiday.

....Lons at the Hermosa! Is in that area, one of my favorites, its an authentic hacienda with breathtaking views....ask for outdoor seating, you won%26#39;t be disappointed!

Be sure to try the restaurants and bar at the Camelback Inn...superb food...The bar serves up Tapas for a reasonable price to go along with drink specials during happy hour...the outdoor patio is a great place to unwind at night while listening to music under the Arizona sky....
