My wife and I will be at the Fairmont Princess April 1-6 for our 25th wedding anniversary. It%26#39;s our first visit to Arizona. We are looking for good restaurants that aren%26#39;t expensive, fun bars and fun things to do. We already booked the Pink Jeep Tour %26amp; verde canyon railroad ride.
Thanks

congrats on your 25th!! You will love Arizona! Many of the fabulous rest. have terrific happy hour menus, and they are very appetizing.......usually martinis and wines are half off, as well as many of the appetizers.....after a day of shopping or sightseeing, always wonderful to sit and relax at these spectacular venues.
Our favorites: Barcelona......located N. Scotsdale rd and Greenway/Haydon
It claims to be one of the largest bars in North America, indoor/outdoor seating with firplaces, very Gucci! great food, great people watching
Sapparo%26#39;s.......located N. Scotsdale rd, south of Frank Lloyd Right.
aswome happy hour, Pacific Rim cuisine, fabulous sushi.
WildFish Seafood Grille......located
South of Fashion Square Mall, Scotsdale Rd and Camelback rd.
Fabulous appetiz and martinis, we like to sit at the bar. If you like fish, take a look at the menu, its one of the best in the valley.
Top of the Rock @the Marriotte Buttes Resort in Tempe.
Offers an incrediable Sunday champagne brunch, which will fill you for the day. The incrediable views and the lovely pianist as background....sipping champagne
what more do you want!

Hi Wisia64 and welcome to the TA forums! Hope we can help make your trip a special one for you.
Two restaurants that are close to your hotel and neighborhood faves are La Locanda (Italian) and Razz%26#39;s. Both are intimate and the food is great. There%26#39;s also Tapino for small plates. For something more casual I like Four Peaks Brewing Company on Hayden south of Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. Good for lunch or a light dinner. Fun Happy Hour. If you like Asian Flo%26#39;s is good. Sapporo, mentioned above is quite pricey, although they have started a $7 HH special for some of their dishes.
Another idea would be to head north to Carefree/Cave Creek area. El Encanto Mexican is good and very cute. For something %26#39;Old West%26#39; head up to Reata Pass Steakhouse or Greaswood Flat. Jeans and boots - don%26#39;t wear sandals as the tables are outside on the desert at GF (long necks and burgers) - live music, too.
If you need daytime activities let us know what you like to do and we%26#39;ll try to make suggestions.
Hope you have a wonderful visit.
are you staying in Scottsdale your whole time or are you splitting it? I ask becuase I%26#39;m wondering the viability of day trip(s) to Sedona from Scottsdale.
I%26#39;m staying in Scottsale the whole time with day trips to Sedona, Jerome, etc..
The drive from Scottsdale to Sedona takes 2 hours, each way. That%26#39;s 4 hours on the road plus where ever you are going on those day trips. Are you sure you want to do that?
Well, we can%26#39;t come all the way from Syracuse, NY and not see Sedona. The drive won%26#39;t bother us that much. We can%26#39;t spend our whole 5 days in Scottsdale, so it appears if we%26#39;re going to see other sites, driving is a must !!
