Last summer we went to Page for 2 nights, as part of our trip Las Vegas to Zion, Bryce--then Page-- Grand Canyon North Rim and back to Las Vegas (the THE Hotel at Mandalay Bay). We stayed 2 nights in the parks at every location, but 3 nights at the Grand Canyon North Rim.
We stayed at the Days Inn, which was just fine.
Rented a speedboat with a tube on Lake Powell, which was really fun, a highlight of the trip! After all the desert heat, the water was wonderful!
We also went to Antelope Canyon and though we felt a bit herded, because it%26#39;s such a justly popular place to visit, still enjoyed the beauty.
On our way in, we also stopped at the Glen Canyon Dam, which is dramatic and a good introduction to the entire area. (Also good because we ran out of time for the Hoover Dam later on.)

Thanks for the post Joan. Page always is a nice place to stay a while. Did you miss Horseshoe bend overlook? Days Inn is good imo and Glen Canyon Dam not to be missed so your planning was good! And yes, Antelope Upper Canyon is crowded, often too crowded,

Hi, We are planning a similar trip for early August.
Wondering where you stayed in Page, and what marina did you rent the boat from. We have 4 adults and a five year-0ld boy. Thanks, Elaine
I went to Powell two summers ago. The National Park Service operates the marina at Wahweap Bay. Boats may be rented there. You may also rent personal watercraft, but don%26#39;t beleive the website when it says three can ride; they limit it to two people. Nice bait and switch, NPS....
The next time I go, I%26#39;m going to look into rentals at Antelope Marina. It%26#39;s a newer place on the Arizona side (Wahweap is just over the line in Utah).
I don%26#39;t know if they rent ski boats at Antelope (they do rent houseboats), but it%26#39;s worth checking into.

The NPS does not run the marina. Aramark does. It is a private company who has a contract with NPS. Same with the Antelope Marina only they also have a contract with the Navaho since they are on Navaho land.
