Itinerary, please advise

I asked some questions earlier this week and rec%26#39;d some good answers. Here is the itinerary I have so far for our trip to Arizona. Please advise. The parts I am less sure about are the days between North Rim and Las Vegas:

Arrive in Phoenix Saturday afternoon and stay overnight in Phoenix with relatives

Drive Sunday to Sedona, stop at Jerome on the way, stay in Sedona two nights (thinking of Rose Tree Inn or Sky Ranch Lodge)

While there, we can either take the Verde Canyon RR or pink jeep rides (comments on either?)

We leave Sedona Tuesday and drive to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and stay there overnight. We decided on the north rim after information I read here and talking to relatives I did make this reservation already and was able to reserve a Frontier cabin.

Wednesday we drive to Page (or somewhere near there) and stay there two nights. While based there, take the smooth river raft trip, see Antelope Canyon and whatever else is suggested

Friday we drive to Bryce Canyon area and stay there one night (maybe Buffalo Sage Inn)

Sat drive to Las Vegas by north route, stay over two nights. Visit Hoover Dam, leave on Monday from Vegas.

Our goal is to see the beauty of Arizona and spend a couple days in Vegas. We will be traveling with friends from Europe who have been to the US but never to Arizona. My husband and I have been to Sedona (just a few hr trip) and Phoenix but not the rest of the areas mentioned.

Thanks for any help!

Itinerary, please advise

I don%26#39;t see any time actually SPENT in GC. A very long drive from Sedona to the North Rim just to spend the night and speed off to Page ? Or am I missing something here ;-) ?

Itinerary, please advise

It maybe would have been easier to go to Page first and then to NR but you already made a reservation.

Think Bayoute is right, your time at NR will be limited. Spend as much as you can and drive to Page late afternoon (between Page and NR are some awesome sights but you probably already knew).

The railway of the Pink Jeep tour?

Many scenic railroads but just one Jeep Tour. That%26#39;s what I would do (never done it though-lol-)

For Page: Take the 7am river raft, see Antelope Canyon and see Horseshoebend overlook. Can be done all in one day. On you drive to Bryce, stop at the Glen Canyon visitor center in Page and see Glen Canyon Dam. No need to see Hoover Dam then. Imo views from Glen Canyon Dam are far better than the views form Hoover Dam. Just mho. Also, you can spend all day in Las Vegas then.

From Bryce: Instead of taking the truckroute (ut20) maybe try ut14. Much more scenic, or even better drive ut 9 through Zion NP.

You%26#39;ll have a fantastic trip.

So if I could change my reservation at NR, you are suggesting we drive from Sedona directly to Page, stay two nights there doing what I mentioned before, then drive to NR early in day after we leave Page and stay overnight at NR?

I agree with Tet14. If possible, go to Page first, then take 89A to GC North, stopping at Navajo Bridge over Marble Canyon along the way. You might see condors around there. If you have time, drive the five miles from there to Lees Ferry, a pretty, not-well-known historical spot on the Colorado River. From GC North, go on to Bryce.

In Page, I think I would do Rainbow Bridge instead of the flatwater trip. The canyon runs north/south there, and you will be in the shade, and the water is 50. Will be cold the whole time.

You definitely want to drive thru Zion on the way out of Bryce. If you cant stay at the NPS lodge in Bryce, I would go out and up the road to Panguitch. they have a bunch of 50%26#39;s style motels, priced well, and fun. A little mormon town.

The RV park/motel just outside of the NP, in the new town of ';Ruby';, is a serious tourist trap, and they charge you for the ketchup packets. Really.

Haha Morganism. If my friend Joeman#1 is reading this he will fully agree about ';Ruby'; He also would recommend to stay in Tropic in one of those nice B%26amp;B.
