Grand Canyon North Rim / South Rim?

If you have already seen the Grand Canyon from the north rim do you think you need to also see it from the south rim? Is it two totally different experiences?

We will be traveling from Moab, Ut to either Scottsdale or Sedona for another 4 nights stay so I wasn%26#39;t sure if we should make time to stop on the way down or just keep going. I%26#39;m thinking it will be worth the stop but would like your expert opinions.

Thanks.

You do also have to experience the Grand Canyon from the south rim. And it is absolutely a MUST. the views are completely differnt from the south rim, and there are more and more accessible viewpoints at the south rim.

Couldn%26#39;t agree more with Mike. ITs completely different. The South Rim is the ';classic'; views that everyone knows and loves. And while generally more crowded Its completely worth the stop. And I vote for Sedona over Scottsdale any time. www.visitsedona.com ITs about 5 hrs from Moab to Flagstaff give or take traffic ect. I love Moab. Make sure you do a jeep tour while there and a river trip as well worth it. I got there twice a year. The La Quinta in Moab is the best/nicest and favorite gift shop in Moab is Kokopelli%26#39;s. Also if you are doing more than one park I%26#39;d get a national park pass at your first park. Its $50 covers everyone in your vehicle and is good for a year for many different areas. WOrth the $$ in the long run.
