Hi - coming to LV April 2008. My son wants to walk on the skywalk. Looking at flying (plane/helicopter). Prices vary substantial, which company would anyone recommend. Thanks.

Air tours to West Rim
You can find information at www.destinationgrandcanyon.com
If you drive the entrancefee will be around $ 80,-- per person, the skywalk included. You%26#39;re not allowed to take pictures from the skywalk and the buildings still are under construction. Also maybe check: www.papillon.com for tours.

I recommend reading more about the Skywalk. See Inside pages for GCNP (clink on GCNP Overview at left). The Skywalk is not ';suspended 4000 feet above the Colorado River'; as has been advertised. It%26#39;s actually on a side canyon with a drop of about 2000%26#39; into the side canyon, and several hundred feet to rocks directly below.
For the less money than a heli ride to Grand Canyon West, you can fly on a fixed-wing aircraft over everything to GCNP South Rim, and have a 3-hour ground tour there, and see the real canyon which you have seen in photos and video. Providers: Scenic Airlines, Grand Canyon Airlines, Papillon Helicopters.
