From PHX Sky Harbor to Downtown Hotel

Is there public transportation available?

I%26#39;m arriving at 7PM on a week night?

What%26#39;s going on downtown after dark and on weekends?

Thanks.

There is the Red Line bus, although I wouldn%26#39;t necessarily rely on it at night. valleymetro.org/bus/鈥usschedules.html

There are shuttle services, but some hotels Downtown also have their own shuttles that you may be able to utilize. If you have a lot of luggage, I definitely wouldn%26#39;t recommend the public bus.

If there%26#39;s some sort of event, especially a game (three of the four professional teams play Downtown) at night, Downtown lights up a little. Weekends without an event, not so much. There%26#39;s also First Fridays along Roosevelt near 3rd Street, which is a big art crawl with live music and art displays. If you%26#39;re there on the first Friday of a month, you should definitely check it out.

I will arrive 7PM on Friday 4/04, so I guess I%26#39;ll see First Friday.

There%26#39;s a Suns%26#39; Game that night.

Since there is a game that night, there will be a buzz downtown. You probably won%26#39;t get into the game since your flight touches down at 7 and tickets are hard to come by anyway. But that said, if you want to be near the action US Airways Center is an easy walk from any downtown hotel. There%26#39;s a Hard Rock Cafe across the street from the arena and a number of other places such as Stoudemires, Majerles, Networks and a few other locales where people will be hanging out and probably watching the game on TV. Stoudemires is next to Hard Rock and should be busy. It%26#39;s part-owned by the Phoenix Suns star player. Majerle%26#39;s is just a block away and should be busy, too.
