We will be flying into Phoenix at around 5pm and returning to the airport around 9am the next day to catch a bus to Flagstaff. We are looking for somewhere clean and comfortable to stay, accessible from the airport by taxi, with a restaurant (not fast food) nearby (on foot). Not too expensive. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
overnight stay in Phoenix - no car
There are any number of airport hotels with free shuttles (and on-site restaurants), but there will be absolutely nothing to do within walking distance. If you are looking for more than that then the Marriott Courtyard in downtown Tempe would probably be a good choice. I believe they also have a free airport shuttle, and there are plenty of restaurants available within a very short walk. 10 minutes from the airport.
