Scottsdale - Restaurants near the Scottsdale Plaza Resort

Hi - I am attending a conference at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort next week and was wondering about dining options near the hotel. I can%26#39;t imagine that the hotel option would be good and we won%26#39;t have a car the first night. Also, any advice/opinions about the hotel would be nice as well. Thanks in advance!

Actually, Remington%26#39;s at the hotel is very nice. Live jazz and a fun place. It%26#39;s been years since I%26#39;ve been there - but it%26#39;s still there which is huge in the restaurant business! Directly across the street you will find Roy%26#39;s (asian fusion) and Ruth%26#39;s Chris - just walk across Scottsdale Rd. If the hotel provides a shuttle it would open more possibilities for you.

aztchr is right on and I love Roy%26#39;s...amazing fish and service. Also, in that complex are a number of smaller places...all right across the street. You could actually eat at a different place for at least 5 nights and not go wrong. That hotel is the hotel of choice for many major sports teams, especially college football, when they come to town.

All these mentioned are great and right across the street. But a brand new restaurant opened as well across the street last week that has been written up in several magazines. I have not tryed it yet but keep hearing great things about it. Its called Rokar Akor...I may be spelling it wrong. I%26#39;m sure if you ask hotel concierge about it they can give you the correct way. I believe its along a japanese/asian fusion type of place. Supposed to be great. Also down the street a little is Bloom, also wonderful I would say its continental. In the same center as Bloom you have Village Tavern , more casual and still good. In the Bogaota center which is also in close proximity is Taneko, across from there is Houstons,and Blue Wasabi. Hope this helps you out. There are soooo many good rerstaurants near your location. I could keep going on. Enjoy!
