driving from Los Angeles, CA to Sedona, AZ

Hi, I need some advice regarding driving to AZ from CA. Just moved to Los Angeles recently, and not sure about the weather in winter when going east. My wife and I would like to go to Sedona for a few days, and are discussing road trip (8h?) to Sedona or to just fly to Phoenix?

Any suggestions? Any blizzards or some tricky over-the-mountain passages to be worried about? Can Corrola handle the trip :) ?

Thanks, much appreciated!

LA- Sedona: I-10 to I-17 in Phoenix and north on I-17 to Sedona. About 7 hours driving. Snow, blizzards, etc. are very unlikely. While considerable uphill stretches, there are no ';tricky'; mountain passages. Any car suitable to drive on the interstates will do.

Most of the locals that do that turn off after Quartzite, to Wickenburg, through Prescott and Jerome, to Sedona. Lots of hill driving, but a lot prettier.

Would suggest going back that way the first time, and you can drive it that way next time.

And there will be a next time !!!

Thanks a lot, that was very helpful!
