I will be in Phoenix from Feb 16-19. We are arriving mid-day on Sat Feb 16 and probably will just leave the day open to settle in, go to Pizza Bianco. Sun Feb 17 is already taken up by the Heard Museum and Desert Botanical Garden with our friends who live in Phoenix. That leaves Mon Feb 18 and Tues Feb 19 (our flight leaves at 5pm).
I think it will probably be too close to try to go do a ';day'; trip on Tues, so that leaves only Mon. We have to listen to a 90 minute timeshare presentation, which is available either at 11am or 3pm. If you were going to do a quick trip from Phoenix to Sedona, and given that you only have a partial day (either the morning to early afternoon, or early afternoon until late evening), what would be your recommendation?
And given that limited amount of time, what would you go see/do in Sedona? A certain hike? A jeep tour? We were in Sedona briefly a few years ago (one night and flew out the next day) and spent most of it at Slide Rock State Park and we did some walking by Cathedral Rock.
Thanks!
1/2 day- Must do in Sedona?
I would do the pink jeep tour broken arrow tour

Goofy probably gave you the best suggestion.
I guess I%26#39;d come to Sedona in the afternoon rather than morning.
Other ideas for a brief visit include Chapel of the Holy Cross (very popular viewpoint and architectural wonder), Airport Mesa and/or along Upper Red Rock Loop Road for views and sunset.
And then there%26#39;s Red Rock Crossing, one of the most photographed places in Sedona (you%26#39;ve probably seen it in alot of ads but may not know it.) Nice walking along Oak Creek there.
Janss - I%26#39;m curious about your comment ';I guess I%26#39;d come to Sedona in the afternoon rather than morning'; We plan on more than half a day in Sedona, but would afternoon be preferable for jeep trip?
cjnky,
I meant that comment only for the original poster, because they have to attend a timeshare presentation in Phoenix on the same day as visiting Sedona. And that is only because I think it would be more relaxing not to have to rush back to Phoenix. Enjoy the afternoon, sunset, a nice dinner, etc. in Sedona.
I%26#39;ve actually never been on a jeep tour. But the Pink Jeep Broken Arrow tour seems to be the favorite of posters on this forum. You might want to post a new topic entitled ';Best time for Jeep tour'; on the Sedona forum. Maybe you%26#39;ll get some answers from people who%26#39;ve been on the tours.
Would do the Afternoon in Sedona. Light is better.
Quick bite at Monami%26#39;s in the Village on the way in,
then up to Fay Arch,or Doe Mtn. out to Palatki, back in for a beer at the old brewery on Coffee Pot and Contractors Way.
Then up to Airport Mesa for sunset, and if hungry again, a stop at Pizza Picasso, or the healthy one across the street.
