It is close to Squaw Peak Parkway (51) and Camelback Rd. It%26#39;s a safe area for kids. It%26#39;s not downtown, but not sure why you would want to go dowtown. There are bus routes on Camelback to everywhere in the Phoenix area. There are a lot eating places about 3 blocks away on Camelback on the east side of Sqaw Peak Parkway, inclujding the great Fish Market for seafood and a bunch of kid-friendly for burgers and pizza.

Hotel Advice

It鈥檚 a safe area with public bus service. There are several restaurants in the area all are good places to eat at depending on what your tastes are wanting. There is some shopping located about three blocks away, but nothing special. However you will enjoy the Biltmore Fashion Park and the Camelback Esplande at 24th street %26amp; Camelback. You鈥檙e at 16th and Camelback about two blocks north. There are several restaurants in the area of 24th street %26amp; Camelback that you鈥檒l enjoy.

Can you get here easily from Sky Harbor w/o a car?

Is it easy to get around that area?

You can get there on public bus or with a taxi, but getting around Phoenix without a car is a real drag. If you can rent one, absolutely do so. It will be far cheaper than taxis and less of a hassle than the bus.

-Safe for kids, Close enough to downtown, bus is available, lots of food options-you are right next to a Five and Diner for your generic American food. head north on 16th Street to Bethany Home to lots of non-chain food options.

A car would help especially if your kids need to be entertained or you want to head to north Scottsdale. Locales like the zoo can be a trek on the bus. I grew up on the Valley metro bus and travel can be done.

Until what time do buses usually run in the area and are they safe?

How long does it take to get there from PHX by bus?

I%26#39;ll still likely rent a car.
