Planning ahead for visit to Grand Canyon

We will visit the GC in March. Leaving Las Vegas on the 21st, travelling directly by car to the GC, then returning to LV on the 23rd. Given the short amount of time we%26#39;ll have, what are the absolute must-sees we should note - either enroute or at the GC? Suggestions re: a schedule/itinerary so we can maximize the use of our limited time.

Have you made lodging reservations??! Call directly

to Grand Canyon - 888-297-2757 maybe you will be lucky in getting a room.

If not, try Tusayan, just outside the park

entrance.

Visit the rim, of course and take the shuttle to

Hermit%26#39;s Rest (west rim), see the historic buildings,

check for Rangers%26#39; programs, etc.

See the sunrise %26amp; sunset.

My personal suggestion is to get a styrofoam cooler

before you leave Vegas. Fill it with water, snacks,

fruit, etc. This will come in handy on your drive

and stay. Additional ice can be obtained at the

Village Marketplace - also has deli, snacks, etc.
