Williams, weather and camping

My husband and I are plannng a road trip. We live on the coast in northern Calif, and are looking at leaving around the first part of May 08. Going over to Nevada then down to Arizona. We will be camping. I figured out years ago if we camped we could be gone for 5 weeks instead of 1. Could I get some information about the weater in May? Also camp grounds. I think there is a KOA there. It%26#39;s been raining here for so long now I can%26#39;t wait to hit the road.

Early May the temps will average in the low 60%26#39;s. My daughter lived in nearby Flagstaff for 5 years. It can frost at night until June, but average low%26#39;s are in the 40%26#39;s in early May. What kind of camping? GCNP has a nice campground. One of the KOAs in Williams currently accepts only self-contained RVs. There are other campgrounds there.

Tell me about the rain, crablady, 15 inches here in January alone! We%26#39;re heading to AZ in April :-)

Here are couple of websites for RV and camping. The first one will help you locate campgrounds. The second is reviews of RV parks and campgounds. Most of the reviewers are in RV%26#39;s, but if you are tent camping you can still get a good idea of the parks.

Many KOA%26#39;s near tourist attractions have put their prices way up for full hookups, around $45 per night.

The Circle ppines KOA is awesome. Its clean and lots of activities including a pool, movies, cabins, hay rides, day trip to gc, its off of I-40 between Williams and Flagstaff. NOT the one on 64 if that one is still open. We still have close to a foot of snow on the ground in some places here and more on thursday. Is it summer yet???
