Disneyland to Albuquerque -Best quick stop for Grand Canyon?

We are driving from Northern CA to Disneyland to Grand Canyon to Albuquerque to Loveland, CO

Looking for the best use of time to see the Grand Canyon. NOt super into this type of thing but know we should stop and see it. What is the best use of time or best stop to see the Grand Canyon?

Any other thigs that are a must-see along our route?

We are traveling last week of March 1st week of April. We only have 3-6 days between home and Loveland, CO so our rime is limited. But we like making quick stops along the route!

Day 1 drive from No Cal to Disneyland

Day 2 Visit DL all day

Day 3 Drive to GC 8 hours or so. Stay inside the park if you can, if not Tusayan is next closest, or Williams.

Day 4 Visit GC for part of the day, then drive to Abq about 6-7 hours.

Day 5 Abq to Loveland... 9+ hours. It takes us on average 8 hours from Santa Fe to Boulder. Abq is 1 hour from Santa Fe.

You could stop at a few places along the way, Flagstaff AZ, Winslow AZ, Holbrook AZ and Petrified Forest, Gallup NM.

From Abq to Denver area... Santa Fe, but you really won%26#39;t have much time. Ft Union near Watrous NM, Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs.

Yes, Casa%26#39;s route is best for 5 days. If you could add that 6th day:

Day 4: Spend more time at the rim visit GC Village, make the loop Wupatki NM/Sunset Crater Volcano NM and stay in Flagstaff.

Day 5: Flagstaff-ABQ-Santa Fe

Day 6: Santa Fe-Loveland.

What route is better... though Vegas and come down to see the north rim of the grand canyon and then head up through Utah and over the rookies? or the southern route through Albequerque? We want to keep the trip on the shorter side so trying to decide what is the very best way to see the GC in just a few hours?

North rim will be closed till mid may.

From south rim the more scenic drive is through Monument Valley, Moab and I70 through Col. Not much difference in time instead I40 and ABQ and if roads are snowfree maybe the faster and shorter drive. Where are you spending the night near GC? Las Vegas to GC Village is a 5 hours drive. Best would be to stay near the rim. Drive east rim and to Moab next day and from Moab to Loveland last day.
