Hi I will be travelling to Phoenix at the end of Feb 2008 and really need advice on which hotel.
I am travelling alone and I wont have a car. I would like somewhere safe that has a decent restaurant, and maybe others nearby..
The point of the trip is to meet up with someone who lives near paradise valley, so I guess I need to be within reach of there.
Thanks for your help

I recommend the Old Town/Water Front Scottsdale area. If you%26#39;ll do a google maps search of hotels at the intersection of Camelback Rd and Scottsdale Rd., Scottsdale you will have numerous locations to choose. It%26#39;s very safe and there are lots of restaurants within walking distance. After you find a few that look good let us know and we%26#39;ll try to help you narrow it down.
Also, you might want to find out which area of Paradise Valley your friend lives in. (it%26#39;s a town and also refers to an area of north Phoenix)

I live on the north border of Paradise Valley...they call it Scottsdale. That%26#39;s the thing here...cross the streeet and you are in a different city. It doe depend on where on PV they live...north, south, east or west; you can%26#39;t walk the whoe thing. Staying near the Biltmore (hotels/shopping) is also an option if they are southern/western PV...Near PV mall if they are northern PV...and Scottsdale for eastern PV...
Depending on your price range i recommend Embassy Suites`at the biltmore 26st and Camelback, The Valley Ho , Mondrian, The Sanctuary, Hyatt at Gainey ranch, The JW Marriot at Desert Ridge....hop ethat helps
