Do you still suggest Hwy 179 if we are staying at Enchantment?? Drive thru downtown to get a look before heading to the hotel??

I still think that it is much prettier to enter Sedona via 179 than detouring through Cottonwood. The time factor will be the same. And although you won%26#39;t actually drive through Uptown (there is no downtown in Sedona), you will drive through the Village of Oakcreek (VOC) the Gallery Distict and West Sedona. You%26#39;ll get oriented to the whole town and have a better idea of how to get back and where you want to go while you%26#39;re visiting.

I agree with everyone. Hwy. 179. You would miss the most awesome scenery if you went through cottonwood and up 89A.
