Trying to Decide

I%26#39;m planning a trip at the end of March and I%26#39;m debating between southern California/Palm Springs and somewhere in Arizona. My son likes to skateboard. I%26#39;m wondering if there are good skateboarding parks in Arizona. I read that the wildflowers should be blooming in March at Joshua Tree Natl Park. Would this be the same for Arizona. Is it usually warm in Arizona at the end of March? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Phoenix and some of the burbs all have skateboard parks. I pass them regularly on my travels around the valley. Here is a link to the Phoenix ones.

I am not an expert at wildflowers, but they are quite abundant at that time of the year. It is great at the end of March...I think some of the best weather all year...average highs in the 70s/80s and beautiful at night. Of course, here, you can get 20 degree swings if the weather hits.

There%26#39;s also The Wedge and McDowell Mtn. Skate Parks in Scottsdale (boy, have I spent hours watching my kids there!!!)

Although I have not heard an %26#39;official%26#39; wild flower prediction - I would assumed it will be a spectacular show this year with all the rain we have had. And, yes, March is gorgeous!

Just talked with a local professional photographer who sells greeting cards in the area (many featuring wildflowers). He%26#39;s been told that this year%26#39;s Arizona wildflower show will be even better than that of 2001--and 2001 was a real ';doozy';!
